Agreed. Have been keeping a look at the numbers of commercial property available and it has been pretty stable at a high rate. But as said, the cranes working on the their projects WILL attract investment. Hopefully, we'll be seeing lots of privately invested projects before 2020. And yeah, almost 4 months now
the cranes on their sites have already attracted the investment.
just having cranes here doesn't make Adelaide more worthy of investment, there has to be an underlying reason for private money to invest. At this point there isn't a great deal apart from cashing in on some undersupply of hotel accommodation.

Any news on this one? I have to admit, it would look kinda funny with the Bob Jane across the road being only a one floor building! But yeah, I hope this proposition hasn't just fizzled and died away...

This one is semi on hold.
The Developer, Datong, currently is constructing ARIA. Once complete they will move to their Waymouth street project to commence prior to June 30 2014 (As per councils sale agreement) then they will move to 123 Flinders depending on sales for the Waymouth project it could be as soon as late 2014 or as late as... well.. never.
I look forward to renders and more information on the Waymouth project as it is expected to be 30+ levels.

Alright, it's been about 10 months since we last spoke about this. If there are any rumours or new updates, please keep us posted! I really do think that Santos/Westpac House has held the record for Adelaide's tallest for long enough now!

There's no need to bump old threads just to ask for updates. If there was anything new on this, it would have been posted as soon as it became known to someone on here.

When you look at it from that angle, it actually looks architecturally interesting...

I always thought this one looked fairly interesting architecturally. It was a pretty unique proposal for Adelaide with the stepped appearance and the boomerang-shaped eastern part.
A bit of a shame it will not go ahead as that entire corner besides the church is pretty underwhelming, but at least that general vicinity is getting a bit of renewal with the Calvary Hospital, and potentially 102-120 Wakefield Street/Solea to go ahead soon-ish.

Who was the builder meant to deliver this project? Datong?
