Today a tree was erected onto the roof of Edge.. I know this means that a significant stage in construction has occuured but I forget what?

I think it means that the building has topped out. I think the custom originates from an ancient practice designed to protect the building from demons and other evil spirits.

I would say both cranes will be gone by the end of next month. Not much more lifting work to be done.

I went past Berlin Wall the other day, and it is a slight improvement, but I await the final product to make a judgement. In terms of the new buildings though, thay make a nice impact in what is a low-rise part of the city.

I hope the alterations include painting the roof or improving the roof somehow. Although not visible from the street, tenants and office workers in Edge/Wave will get a good look at this...a lot.

I note that the development application says nothing about the roof - it would be a real letdown if unattended to.
