My money is still on H&M at RMP, Adelaide is way overdue for at least one store. Especially when looking at those new stores.

Adelaide needs more variety, not more of the same same.

Christmas decorations are going up in the mall, and after all of Antic's posturing they're... exactly the same as last year. :applause:

What those pathetic multi-coloured flags?

That's really disappointing.

It's what Jesus would have wanted.

No, the giant words made from wood surrounded by clusters of trees, and the giant presents at either end of the mall. I imagine the lighting and bunting, and the ribbon christmas tree, will also make a return but they haven't appeared yet.

From last year:

There are some fairy lights up too - you have to squint a bit to see them against the grey sky.

The only change I've noted versus last year is that the bunting is replaced by festoon lighting.

I don't mind the wooden words, but there needs to be more Christmas lighting (sounds like this is happening) and those real Christmas trees needs to be replaced with something more suited to our climate. I know it was planned that they would replace the trees every couple of weeks last Christmas, but in the dying days of one batch the trees looked awful.

What about a Debenhams? A touch small maybe, but they've shown a preparedness to edit their range.
This surprises me a little (the fact that Debenhams are looking to expand) they are essentially just a department store who, as per Myer here, are experiencing some shaky performance back in the UK - possibly due to the waning popularity of this type of store.

Good luck to them if they can make it work, although I won't be hugely excited if they end up in Adelaide...

I think they're pursuing the same strategy that landed MYER in so much trouble: sales growth by merit of physical growth. Now MYER is closing locations and turning others into clearance bins.

Nothing wrong with a good scab rack

Debenhams also have a presence in Harris Scarfe so I wonder if their expansion will be impacted/impact that.

Still nothing's happening to where Rhodes & Beckett was so far.
So I assume Georg Jensen will be moving somewhere else soon. Then the two will be leased as one.
