The architects generally have little influence to do with the delivery timeframes on the construction side of things. That's where the contractor and various other consultants have more influence.Benm16 wrote:My friends family owns the for work company for this building and he works on it daily. He was telling me that it should reach its full height by September 2016. Seems like quite a long time to me when you look at buildings like Vue and the office building on king will by dash architects.

Sorry should have been more clear. My friends construct the formwork and pour the concrete.

Looks like this is being constructed using the same method as vision. Covered in scaffolding. Also appears to be a much slower method judging by the slow pace on both projects. Anyone know why developers choose this style. Both developers are Chinese. Is it because it's cheaper or that's just the way they have always done it.

There was no core on Vision, while this has two cores.Ben wrote:Looks like this is being constructed using the same method as vision. Covered in scaffolding. I can't imagine the developer would have any influence on that kind of stuff.
The builder would decide on how they go about the build

Glad it's just not me who thinks this development is going very slow.Ben wrote:Looks like this is being constructed using the same method as vision. Covered in scaffolding. I believe Vision is an exemption due to the lack of core as stated by GHS.
I can see where you are coming from re. the similarities between this and vision, however, WATPAC used the same construction techniques on IBIS Hotel in 2014, I believe it was a jump scaffolding that increased as the project got taller.
I don't think this is going that slow in my opinion, considering the Christmas break always slows things down for a good 4-6 weeks.

This is one 'fat' apartment tower! Already changing the feel of the cityscape at ground level along and around Morphett St.
