Was talking to the staff at T2 on Rundle Street today. Apparently they're moving into Rundle Place next to Country Road in August this year.
Also my first post after stalking this forum for a year so hi everyone!

Damn! I live off their Melbourne Breakfast, and the Rundle St location is super handy being just around the corner from our studio. It'll leave a sizeable hole in Rundle St too.

Citi Centre Arcade just posted this on Facebook.
Exciting changes are taking place on the corner of Pulteney Street and Rundle Mall to bring you a whole new shopping experience to be known as Rundle Square.
Whilst we are working behind the scenes we still have our existing retailers - Nike, McDonalds, Terry White Chemmart, Opt Shop and Westpac open as normal.
Make sure you Like our Facebook page so we can keep you up to date as we go.

So we'll have Rundle Place, Rundle Mall Plaza, Rundle Arcade, and now Rundle Square β all in Rundle Mall.

I was going to make that exact same comment to be honest!
I think Rundle Arcade is now called Parc Arcade or something though, so at least one centre has a little bit of originality!

What puts me off eating at that Maccas and food court is the pigeons and birds.

Seems like they've taken the nuclear option by deleting their facebook page and creating a new one:
https://www.facebook.com/rundlesquare/. Probably to get rid of all the terrible reviews of the food court.
The new page has a render of the redesigned facade.

It's about time that corner had a modern facelift. The design seems to match the Realm façade too.

Kinda wish the corner tenancy were double height for a more impactful entrance, but hopefully they can secure a prominent tenant to anchor this end of the mall. Much better than what's there currently.

They already have a tenant, Romeo's Foodland will be taking up a majority of the building. Suncorp bank will take over the corner tenancy where Telstra were.

Knew about Romeo's, but not Suncorp. Not exactly the drawcard I was hoping for.

by how good is he
It will be good if its a LED screen where the J'adore perfume signage is... anyone know if this is the case? Potentially they could have done LED signage all the way around both Pulteney St & Rundle Mall to compliment The Lantern opposite [as well as earning extra income from the advertising].

I think the new facade will look quite classy. That wouldn't have been the case if it were covered in LED signage.
Rundle Lantern is an improvement to what was quite an ugly building. I think this will be too!
