What kind of BS advertising crap is that. If anything, it's exactly the opposite, common dogboxes for common international students.
I thought it was a strange choice too. Not only do you have the connotation mentioned by Shuz, there’s also the fact that a big part of student living IS around common living, common rooms and then finding things you have in common with those you meet in the student community etc.

Maybe it's built for students that clean up after themselves when they use the communal kitchen

I cannot believe that this development now means that there's only one lane heading west on north terrace!
I am sick to death of getting stuck in traffic on my way home !

It had been quite annoying, especially for buses travelling along North Terrace. Many end up being 10-15 minutes late from this bit alone. They should be using the tram lane while this is under construction.

It's been more than 'quite annoying' for me.
Every day I have to wait an extra 15 mins to get home, just so a cheap student building can go up !
To think that a couple of years ago we had 3 lanes running west, honestly it makes me feel sick.

May I suggest writing a letter to the Advertiser complaining that the CBD of our capital city isn't a motorway?

I am going to have to wait 15 mins every week day for the next 18 months.
So in total I am going to have to wait for about a month !
Just so that they can build a disgusting yellow building full of suicide boxes.

May I suggest using Grenfell Street or Victoria Drive to avoid the congested section?
...or work closer to where you live so you don't have to commute so far.

Selfish much?
Not even the world's smallest violin is appropriate for such an insane argument. Care factor to your 15 mins is ZERO!
Bring this building on!
