Sorry Will just realized you have done something simular

What the f is that Adelaide uni development (Innnova) on here for. Correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is that
this thread is about CBD construction and from memory Adelaide's CBD is in between of South Terrace, North Terrace, East Terrace & West Terrance. Adelaide uni is not within these boundaries.

So the single story houses around Hutt Street are part of the CBD, yet the Hyatt, Convention Centre, Riverside Centre, Festival Centre, Railway Station, Parliament and the Universities are not?

Technically parklands is part of CBD. And Adelaide Uni, RAH etc are all on parklands.

Well!
I am Happy to leave a couple of buildings off. I think I have one at North Adelaide and one at Kent town as well.
The main point of the spread sheet is to show the tremendous amount of work actually under construction in the city,
234 floors!!!! Just what is currently under construction probably equates to four to
five 50 storey towers and when we consider there are over
700 potential floors, if Adelaide was a high rise city this would have equated to maybe
eight to ten 50 storey towers you can appreciate what is happening. We could have had a skyline to match any Australian city.
Anyway re: the spread sheet happy to make changes, found some typos already anyway.

Let's put it this way, the CBD (Central Business District) is not the square mile (or thereabouts) of the city of Adelaide.

Does anyone know why this thread was merged with the 2008 construction. It is very confusing as this thread starts in 2005. It would be better separate if it's not too late?

Regarding Renaissance Arcade twin towers, no DA has been lodged just yet, and if construction is to be expected in November - you'd think an application would be lodged sometime now - doesn't it take at least 6 months to get through from proposal > approval > construction?

Application was lodged about 9 months back. A decision is imminent.
Plans were lodged with the ACC yesterday for a $92m Twin tower apartment complex:
Type: Development Application Received

Lodgement Date: 18/12/2007
Location; 12-24 Renaissance Arcade 11-17 Austin Street, ADELAIDE SA 5000
Description: Demolish existing buildings and construct 2 tower structures

Well, it's been a quiet month on the updates front. Not at all sure where most projects stand as of 14/08/08.
Nonetheless, here's the update. Let me know if
anything is wrong - I'll correct it and re-upload it as soon as possible.

Construction 2008.xls
Shuz, you have listed 42-56 Franklin Street as 2 separate towers. This is incorrect as this development is not composed of 2 individual buildings. 42-56 Franklin Street is a single building containing a single core.

We could be looking at 6 cranes in the east end there by the year end and also there's the Rundle
Lantern project. Things are booming down there !! Will look good next when clipsal and other entertainment is on.

So I realise I've been a bit slack the last month with updates. I'll schedule them fortnightly - 1st and 15th of each month. Here's the September status.
Let me know if theres any mistakes. I'll correct them ASAP.
