It did always puzzle me why they tried to turn the Grenfell Centre into an upmarket Hugo Boss store. It seemed very out of place. Hopefully they can move into the mall and the new Suncorp office seems more fit for purpose.

Hugo Boss is a Rundle Place kind of store, Suncorp is a grenfell house kind of store.

Not sure but it looks as though nothing has happened since the mall was closed in April.
Plenty has been going on.

If you go into Westpac, you can see in thorough the mall-side window.

Redevelopment of the ground floor of the former Citi Centre Arcade continues.

North Adelaide institution Paesano Cucina is being liquidated just a week after the Archer Hotel shut its doors, ringing alarm bells for the future of the precinct.

Lamborghini are setting up a showroom on Glen Osmond. This follows on from Ferrari opening up there showroom
on West terrace a couple of years ago. I know I am a bit of a nimby but I wouldn't have thought there would be
much of a market here for expensive cars.

Yeah that would be in the old Belcar showroom. There was an article in The Advertiser a couple weeks ago saying a Melbourne company had bought the
Ferrari dealership on Hindley Street and were going to open a Lamborghini and McLaren dealership on Glen Osmond Road (Belcar).

I'm not sure I agree with your last comment though, as I see quite a few exotic brands driving around Adelaide these days. One only has to sit on Rundle Street
sinking beers on a nice Sunday afternoon to get a snapshot of what's out there

Of course that's only anecdotal evidence, but it's a vote of confidence in the economy when such car dealers are opening up in the city.

Jaymz, if there is such a great market for expensive cars then why did Belcar close down ?

There is a large demand in Adelaide for these cars. Belcar sold the franchise to Zegame which is a massive dealership from Melbourne. They will also be building a new Ferrari showroom in the next 12 months. I can vouch they are extremely professional and a welcome addition to the Adelaide luxury and sport car market.

Also GHS please google the differences between there, their and they’re....

Maybe their business model wasn't sound, I can only speculate.

They were also selling new Jeeps and Alpha Romeos if my memory serves me correctly..... I see the Jeep dealer
on Main North Road is also closed down now.

yes the jeep dealer has closed down. Interesting how the middle class car yards are closing down and
at the same time we see a few upmarket dealers starting up. On Unley road the holden dealership was replaced
with Mercedes.

I went past the remodelled show room on Glen Osmond Rd yesterday and there were already at least 3 new Lamborghinis on display even though they are still working on the site.

I thought it was about to undergo a major redevelopment?
