I'm just glad I didn't live in Marble Bar in 1923/24 where they set the Oz record heatwave with 160 days above about 38

Dan Murphys is very good for that - lots of cartons everywhere to sit on, and plenty of room for friends.

I think this heatwave will be the last of hot weather probably until Spring. According to BOM, SA is expected to have bellow average temps and higher above rainfall over the next few months...

Its probably going to be one extreme to the other (major bushfires to floods)

Here's me, down in Hobart. On my way down yesterday I'm thinking "Awesome, out of the heat finally!" And yesterday was awesome, 26' still, furken lovely.

Today, on the other hand, 38 and windy as all hell!! The guys in the office are all saying "tell that Adelaide guy to piss off back home and take this weather with him!"

Showers next wednesday? Showers?? Rain?? What's that?

I beg your pardon; 38 degrees in Hobart??

I fear the Earth has fallen over.

I spilled tea on myself before, and that was plague-esque enough for my liking; goodness knows what I'll do if locusts come through the window.

Incidentally, I've noticed that I've been outside far more in this heatwave than any other time this year, and I have absolutely no idea why.

I'd like to know where exactly my tan has gotten to, now that you mention it - there's probably some European kid called Omi who suddenly has the most brilliant tan in the middle of winter and is the envy of all his friends, but he is unsure from whence the brown did come.

Geez it was so hot in town today and tonight, if those northern lights were on I would of headed straight home.

Here in the hills its like about 15 degrees atm with a nice cool breeze (guess it will hit Adelaide aswell). Though last night for the first time ever the min temp in Adelaide was just around 30 degrees! (another record smashed).

It's quite lovely outside at the moment - BOM tells me it's 24.4, and there's a light breeze about.
