Again excuse my ignorance on all this, but when tenders on a project are called, does that mean it’ll most likely go ahead?

Yes you would think so. It’s rare but there are times when the build cost comes in (far) above what has been budgeted/allowed for or above the achievable sale prices (ie I think I read this may have been one reason that Opus on Hutt St didn’t go ahead.)

Left was the original design, and right is the current design:

Prefer the original.
Thanks for posting.

I prefer the original podium as it better respected the lines of neighbouring Woodards House and had pleasing art deco-inspired articulation. Not overly moved either way though as this will ultimately be fairly inconspicuous (and it'd be nice to just see it finally built).
This new lattice design replicates to some extent the new student building being completed round the corner on Waymouth Street.

I think it would look better with the mix of the original podium levels with the lattice design above it.

Heard a rumour this one is likely to go out for tender soon. Fingers crossed.

Does it even still have active development approval? They do lapse and it's been almost four years since we've heard anything on this.

Good question. Its owned by a Singaporean development company after Mandala sold It a few years back we discussed here.
