Still recovering from that video, but the proposal itself looks fantastic.
Before getting too excited, is this just a "vision" or a solid proposal?

Brilliant proposal. Love it!
I can think of one good reason why they have a blank wall facing the river at ground level... to prevent flooding.

looks great, very striking. But what will actually be incorporated into that structure, more gambling area, or will that have shops, restaurants, bars, entertainment facilities etc. in it. This, convention centre upgrade and adelaide oval , lot of action going on around the torrens in the next few years.
A high rise hotel / entertainment precinct along the river further along, past morphett street bridge, would be good as well

How about opening up more tenancies along the riverbank so other businesses can move in there? The casino does get an extraordinary slice of the pie.

I wish the development of this area went further and included the tennis courts at Memorial Drive. Instead of cutting back the cost and ditching that element, it would have been nice to see this incorporated into the upgrade as was first proposed. I don't mind them spending lots of our tax payer money if they are doing a lot with it.

That got shelved after the Qld. floods took Federal funding away, didn't it?

Those are on the other side of the river. Did you mean to post this in the Adelaide Oval thread?

Yeh, but the thread was locked. I was just trying to sneak this in. Ha. Busted.
