Demo has started according to their Facebook page. Hopefully construction starts shortly after & we are not waiting months/years as this seems to have taken forever to get to this point!

Walked past this morning and they have road barriers out and scaffolding up. It's happening.

After 5ish years, it’s finally happening! This was one development that I honestly didn’t think would ever start. During that time when 20-22 Currie and the Pirie Street development was leading everyone on.
So glad I was wrong! Such a quality looking development! This is an example of good taste style that Adelaide deserves!

Definitely now considered Site Works Progressing.
SWP: Site Works in Progress
- foundation work commenced; including the excavation of forms for foundations
- Note any site preparation, demolition of existing structures, clearing / leveling soil, ribbon cutting or sod turning ceremonies do not count as starting of site works in progress
I feel we aren't always consistent with the status of developments on the forum. Although surely they're serious about it going ahead if the display centre has moved. Should be good to see this one go ahead. It's probably my favourite of all the 100 metre proposals in the city at the moment.
It's a bit sad that red brick warehouse is going. I don't necessarily think it's nice enough to stop this development, but it would have been good if it could somehow have been incorporated, or if one of the many uglier lowrise buildings in Adelaide were in this location and was being demolished instead.

4 x 100+ metre high buildings being built concurrently (Kodo, Adelaidean, Realm and this one). Who'd have thought this a few short years ago?

Within a year we might have 6 100+m towers going up, all those cranes will make for a very different Adelaide skyline!

Totally agree, it's a shame this building isn't better placed elsewhere in Adelaide (Hindley Street west or Frome Road) would make for a awesome nightspot venue upstairs, cafe restaurant below.

Agree, looking absolutely fantastic, 15 years ago we could only dream about this...
2019 shall be known as the 'Year of the crane' with all the big tall towers going up and very high reaching cranes dominating the skyline on those buildings when U/C

Looks like this is in fact finally ready to start progressing, with an application for a crane lodged w/ SCAP.

Wouldn't that have been lodged months ago?
If not then this project is dodgy to the max. Which we've known for ages anyways. Well for me, ever since the previous Govt. gave them a $5 million interest free "grant" before the election. Farcical.

It was first announced 4 years ago.
It only had to sell 70 apartments.
It's missed several deadlines.
It required a handout from the Govt.
