Not a real Jacket though as that would be expensive.

The demolition for the student housing part of this project is nearly complete apart from the northern end of the site > Picture from the Laneway off Rundle St ( Synagogue Place).

One thing I haven't figured from the renders alone is what is happening to the frome st entry to the car park? Will they rework the car park entry for cars to enter from the laneway or synagogue place, or keep the current grand canyon and build the podium over? If the latter it would be a shame because it'd be a lost opportunity to regain some street level activation.

The car park entry remains on Frome, though they seem to plan to rework it by making it more narrow (single lane in each direction)

Demolition for the student accommodation is complete in Synagogue Place and piling has started. So construction has formally commenced. A small building housing electrical transformers remains at the northern end . Historical note AESC = Adelaide Electrical Supply Company ; the forerunner to ETSA.

They best leave that transformer intact - it supplies my block!
I think this has been posted here before, but worth posting again for the people who missed it. Photos of what was left of the G&G building before demolition. Also look at the rest of that site for photos of Heaven/HQ before that's demo'd and some other interesting stuff.

Good to know. Ok guys, if we find out that transformer has been knocked out, run wild and free because Mono can't touch us as he's got no power.

Mr Pelvay said no presale requirements were in place for the project, with construction due to commence in the fourth quarter of this year
New 134-metre high-rise to define city living in the Adelaide CBD
Colliers International is taking registrations for 88 apartments in exciting new Brown Falconer-designed residential project, The Adelaidean
The Adelaidean is set to transform the Adelaide skyline from late 2019, towering 134 metres above the city as the tallest approved building in South Australia.
Colliers International’s residential director Nick Pelvay and senior executive James Polacek have been appointed to sell the 88 premium one-, two- and three-bedroom residences on behalf of developer Kyren Group, with prices starting from $435,000.
The Brown Falconer architect-designed project will comprise a selection of residences from levels 22 to 35, with three-metre-high ceilings in the sub-penthouses.
Mr Pelvay was enthusiastic about the upcoming sales campaign and said he had already received overwhelming interest in the residences.
“Life in The Adelaidean will be one full of variety, vibrancy and excitement, towering above the city with incredible panoramic views,” he said.
The Adelaidean promises a luxurious lifestyle, with a grand lobby entrance, as well as cafes, bars, fine dining and high-end shopping at its doorstep.
“This project has been designed to encapsulate the understated beauty and elegance of its surroundings,” Mr Pelvay said.
“While its 88 residences makes it boutique, it is in fact the tallest approved building in the state, despite having less floors than some. This development is by Adelaideans, for Adelaideans.”
The Adelaidean will be co-located with an international hotel brand and serviced accommodation, which will occupy ground level to level 20.
Mr Pelvay said no presale requirements were in place for the project, with construction due to commence in the fourth quarter of this year.

Awesome photos – cheers for sharing that. To be honest the building was in much better condition internally than I had imagined it to be. It’s a bit sad to think of what could have been done with the space, but on the other hand the proposed development should (hopefully) be considered to be worth the sacrifice in the end. Shame it couldn’t be incorporated in some form though…
