The project has been approved as is. It has not been dumbed down.

ADELAIDE - TOWARDS A GREATER CITY SKYLINE

This, Spire and the continuation of the CC projects... Our skyline is REALLY going to change in the next couple of years

Congratulations to Tectvs, the city council, and all you guys who've been so interested in this project, and especially those of you who made the trip to the council meeting tonight.

I'm just blown away by the support for this project... just a sensational effort by everyone, here's to a better skyline.

BIG NEWS: Adelaide will soon be home to the Heart of Glass!

In what will be one of the biggest changes to its skyline Adelaide has ever seen, the Heart of Glass was tonight passed by the ACC Development Panel.

Bloggers on the development watch website http://www.sensational-adelade.com, including some who were at the meeting, tonight expressed their excitement at the news.

One forum member said, "Makes you proud to be South Aussie. Makes you warm inside!! A real landmark in more ways than one. Hoping it opens the door for more of the same now a precedent has occurred."

I truly believe this building will signal a new era for Adelaide.

Its modern design, which throws out the stereotypical office building box, will help to add to Adelaide's individual visual style and give our city and fresh approach into the future.

Perhaps I'll move the FNUKY offices to the building! I'll suss out the crew tomorrow.

I would like to congratulate the architects Tectvs Design (who happened to design my first apartment), the Adelaide City Council, as well as all the forum regulars at Sensational Adelaide for their role in taking Adelaide in the future.

That's good. Like I said in a previous post, it is a real pity such an iconic building doesn't have its own plaza. I just hope other property owners who have better allotments in the CBD get together with developers and investors and build something special. It seems now is the time to do it, the momentum is there.

Yes well done everyone. I still can't believe it has been approved. Now if The Advertiser was a decent paper it would have this as front page news. Instead it will probably be some other negative crap. Nothing on AdelaideNow yet either. Anyway the main thing is this is approved. I wonder if they have already had any tenant interest?

The area of public transport is my specialty here but I am really looking forward to seeing a 'companion' to Westpac House. It has stood alone in the Adelaide skyline for too long. Especially since this is such an attractive buidlign as well, even more reason to look forward to seeing it built. One last thing, TAKE THAT GOLD COAST!
