Laubman and Pank have closed on Gawler Place.
On the south section (next to Allans).
There may be other business at risk of going under.

They moved to Rundle Mall Plaza two weeks ago.

Hopefully Sushi Train is the external corner tenancy so there is some life on that corner after hours (the one on Grenfell is open till 10pm). Either that or a 24-hour KFC (or relocated McDonalds).
That floor plan also shows that the Hindmarsh Square tenancy (I think where Symmetry Cutters used to be?) has been leased to Bomdia Bowls.

High time Sushi Train opened on the East End, there is one one sushi offering on that side of town and it's notorious for giving people a case of food poisoning. That said, I wonder if this will this come at the expense of Grenfell Street Sushi Train?
As for KFC, makes sense, but considering they closed out their store that was directly opposite Rundle Square not even ten years ago, why reopen that side of town now?

Aaaand, there's already two KFC franchises in the mall already (City Cross and Myer Centre).

I can't see that doing well given the rent the location would attract. they have opened a second store today at Southern Cross arcade next to Bread top.

I give it six months at the most. Why the centre management would allow a food-court-esque type shopfront to exist in the retail section of their centre is beyond me.
