I agree its not a shameful looking building.

At the end of the day its only 59m so hopefully in time more prominent buildings will surround it

The main barrier has been removed from Morphett Street, giving an idea of the street font.

Anecdotally (cant get any good shots) but can see into a few of the apartments at night and fitout looks well progressed in many.

Exactly. That proposal for a taller building (hotel?) on the corner of the square near this has gone quiet but if built would block a hefty part of this building anyway from plenty of northern perspectives.

I know that this issue has been discussed previously but given that the build time has been 6 months longer then
initially planned, I would assume that 88 construction has lost money on this project.

It's there first major project here in SA, it seems like the project has been a learning experience for them.

Even their website is not working.

Thanks mgb. Do you work for them ?

Anyway, I guess it's difficult now for criminals to steal equipment and tools now that it's all secure.

Nah, I work in the area and chat to a few of the workers on the site regularly.

This thing is lit up like a christmas tree at night at the moment with the balcony lights being left on. Tradies have been working nights inside the apartments but obviously not today.

And an idea of internal progress:

Some pictures from Saturday 26 mar 16. 1 general picture showing north west sides, 2 lower level Morphett St: from right services and machinery behind geometric pattern, then carpark entrance, then main entrance to lifts (nice marble work inside), then one large shop and at far left entrance door to fire services, 3 shop front being worked on Saturday morning.

No, I don't find it offensive either.

To be honest, I'll like it when people have actually moved in and give the area a bit of pedestrian traffic.

I think the gold finishes on the outside are enough to distinguish the building from others.

Looks like some sort of launch party on tonight in the one of the penthouses.

Lol, sure does.

Have noticed a few apartments are now occupied and ads on realestate.com suggesting availability on 2/5.
