According to Adelaide's Parcour community, it was well used and will be missed. Whitmore Square might be a good place for it, but from a parcour point of view I suspect it needs a more urban multi-level feel surrounds that could also be utilised for the sport.

As art, it would look good in Whitmore Square, which, apart from lawn and trees, currently hosts a basketball set-up.

I'd also like to see it preserved (and refreshed) but not sure Whitmore Sq is the best place - it's already given over a fair bit of space to the basketball court, giant chess set etc and I'm not sure there would be much left if the art installation was moved there... not sure a giant concrete heat square surrounded by roads is a good way to enhance the area there.

We've got plenty more open parkland around the place which we let turn to dust for 6 months a year and where this would be just as integrated into the urbanscape - I'm thinking even down near the river somewhere so much closer to where it is now and part of bringing more activity to that area as it gets opened up by new developments.

Well i'm pretty sure that at the very least, they would be given a good old pressure clean and a coat of fresh paint.

We shouldn't deny the importance of these artworks in the history of South Australia, and their part in our cultural revolution
that happened in the 60's and 70's.

It doesn't necessarily need to be reinstalled exactly in the original way. Imagine if the pieces were installed in a nice lawn, for example.

Refurbished, the artwork would look great in Bonython park near the playgound.

This is a bloody nice image of how good it used to look. The colour was vibrant and hadn't faded, there were lovely trees/bushes scattered about and a nice little water feature in front of the playhouse further along plus the stupid chasm where the road goes through now dividing the platform in two was not present. Once that was done and trees/bushes removed combined with the fading over time, it really has gone down the drain.

Also question....anyone here know when that divide between the platform occured? Never paid attention but I'm sure it was all one piece in the mid 90's at last thought.

I have great memories roller blading in the plaza before "the upgrade" in 2003. (It was the 90's, and yeh thats how old I am )

Anyone know if the detailed plans are lurking anywhere for this one?

Saw the designs for the Casino redevelopment, but haven't seen the plans for the Plaza.
Or are we not yet at that stage?

They were available earlier in the year, but I guess they were removed after it was approved.
