This really is a mystery site. I hope it happens soon but this is a very strange way to build such a building.
A couple of large committed tenants could make a difference!!

Interesting, quite a lot of action there today (Sun). Didn't notice the foundation of a crane base, but the footpath and my bike lane was all closed off. I wonder if the Gouger St crane will come around the corner to here

Drove past a couple of times today and there was a little bit of activity.

Despite its less than inspirational beginnings it should have a substantial presence at this end of the CBD.

Not much change. A few more steel beams up. Still no sign of a crane base or any prep work for the Eastern foundations. This one is confusing me.

Cheers for the update Ben. I'm suspecting that the structural foundations for the podium of the building will be built first, with the rest to be developed at a later date?

I've never seen a high rise built this way before - with one section missing almost entirely while the rest goes up - and no crane so far! Will be interesting to watch it develop.

I'd dare say they had access issues, piled and poured where they could. Once all exacations are complete and the dirt access ramp is removed, a second half pour will occur, with a crane base(s) on the eastern side, a jump form (core box) will be constructed around the existing core base, each level it jumps another level of eastern steel work will be added etc etc.

That's my take on how it'll happen.

By stalled do you mean taking forever? if so yes.

Is there a reason you keep hearing these "rumours" I belive you brought up something similar about Hills House? Maybe your source has an alterior motive?

dear "loud"

are these rumours, observations or information.

This development is progressing but too slowly. Stalled means stopped, which this development has not.

Are your sources official, informed or based on scuttlebut?

I work in an industry where i speak to a lot of people and hear a lot of rumours... and most of the time, they turn out to be true...

I have heard that the pre-commiting tenant has fallen through and this has stalled development...

My view of a stalling development is a bit like a cars engine cutting out, it keeps rolling for a little while until eventually it runs out of momentum and grinds to a halt...

sorry for "bumping", but just read this after posting... didn't my observation turn out to be true?

And what do you mean by alterior motive? Its not like I am being malicious, just making informed observations
