Beer Garden
Re: Beer Garden
I get that, but literally every article I click on is not paywalled. I don't have any subscriptions for News Corp. Never have never will.

Adelaide is one of the most liveable cities in the world, according to The Economist’s Global Liveability Index.
In the 2024 ranking of the world’s most liveable cities, Adelaide rose through the ranks to secure 11th place out of 173 cities – the only Australian city that improved its ranking.
Last year, Adelaide ranked 12th place, significantly shooting up from the 30th spot in 2022.
For the index, the cities were rated on stability, healthcare, culture, environment, education and infrastructure.
Across the country, Melbourne was named the fourth most liveable city on earth – with an index score of 97.0 – while rival city Sydney ranked seven, with a 96.6 index score.
The current housing crisis in both cities brought down their infrastructure score, but attaining a 80 to 100 rating means “there are few, if any, challenges to living standards.”
Perth claimed the 15th spot, beating Brisbane by one spot.
Austria’s capital city Vienna, claimed the title of the world’s most liveable city, for the third year in a row.
Judges gave the city a perfect score of 100 for stability, healthcare, education and infrastructure, but thought its culture and environment could slightly improve.
For whatever it's worth..
Adelaide - 11th
Melbourne - 4th
Sydney - 7th
Perth - 15th
Brisbane - 16th

62 years ago today of the destruction of the Jubliee building
This makes me so angry. Why the fuck would anyone demolish this. I got the urge to start a campaign to restore this, ring up the premier or the university management to ask

I bet there was some VinyTapestry849 of that era who thought a multi story modern concrete block was far more progressive use of the site than the 'outdated' 'archaic' Jubilee building and lamented any of the Nimbies who opposed itVinyTapestry849 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 6:59 pm62 years ago today of the destruction of the Jubliee building

Nah dude, If I was there when they demolished it I would have fkn glued myself to that majestic, magnificent building.
Re: Beer Garden
Wow thanks for posting that, tbh I never knew such a building ever existed. It's beyond comprehension how such a building could meet that fate. Beyond a shame.
