Yes, which is very disappointing. I thought they were usually quite busy!Brucetiki wrote:Dang! That means there's no CBD presence for Nando's now right?
BabySkin Laser & Cosmetic Clinic has also opened on Gawler Pl (north) where Bag Heaven was.
It used to be a cinema.utaussiefan wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 9:09 pmIt might be the wrong thread to ask this but does anyone know what used to be underneath the Rundle Arcade (parc arcade). There used to be escalators down next to Adelaide Exchange Jewelers on the Stephens Place side however they were boarded up many years ago. I have had no luck finding any information about it.
When it opened it was a Food Court with a variety of eateries and I vaguely recall it had a subway/train theme. Even a clock that had a diesel train make a noise at certain intervals if my memory serves me correctly!SRW wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 6:19 pmSpeaking of lost underground spaces, did anything interesting use to be in the basement of Station Arcade?

Read recently that City Cross and North Adelaide Village have been sold to two interstate retail firms so hopefully that means we see more from there two sites. North Adelaide Village actually has planning concessions for mixed use development. The Scooter Guy wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 4:04 pmEB Games and Camera House have been vacant for a year now.
Would love to see the food court more enclosed, its bit exposed to the elements, bit drafty in winter and prone to birds flying in.Patrick_27 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 4:44 pmRead recently that City Cross and North Adelaide Village have been sold to two interstate retail firms so hopefully that means we see more from there two sites. In need of an upgrade I'd say. Stuck in the mid 2000s.Eurostar wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 11:42 amWould love to see the food court more enclosed, its bit exposed to the elements, bit drafty in winter and prone to birds flying in.Patrick_27 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 4:44 pmRead recently that City Cross and North Adelaide Village have been sold to two interstate retail firms so hopefully that means we see more from there two sites. Rundle Mall's biggest bookstore will close its doors at its current location for the last time on Friday, to be replaced with a new Rebel Sport “megastore”. The new sports store will stretch over three levels and will be the retailer's first “highly immersive” new format concept outlet in Adelaide.

There have been extensive internal works in the vacant shop next to the Rebel escalator in City Cross. No indication yet who might be taking it up, but IMO to attract an anchor tenant City Cross should be merging the Mall shop fronts and upstairs space.crawf wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 11:19 pmDymocks on Rundle Mall is going to be replaced with a multi-level Rebel Sport. That will likely mean the Rebel Sport stores in the Myer Centre and City Cross will be closing down. The City Cross store covers a huge footprint and could be ideal for Uniqlo or JD Sports. Could also be a good opportunity to redevelop City Cross which is looking tired.
