For those who haven't noticed, Liquorland has opened in Coles at Rundle Place as part of the supermarket's first refurbishment.
Ideal spot for it with residents and office workers nearby having weekend drinks or office parties.

It's pretty small, and doesn't have a large range. BWS in Woolworths is better stocked in comparison.

Thanks for the update The Scooter Guy!

I haven't been into Coles there for a while...what refurbishment work are they doing in Coles?

Slightly more modern signage and fixtures.

All of the fresh food area has been revamped, the deli counter has gone (which is weird as it was always very busy) and the checkouts have moved further towards the front of store, around where the old customer service desk used to be. The liquor store is approximately where the old checkouts used to be.

And yet they still haven't resolved the issue with having the elevator within the check out area rather than within the shop itself.

Why is that an issue? It makes perfect sense.

The only bad thing about it is that it feels very awkward exiting to Grenfell Street from the food court if you aren't actually shopping in Coles, but I don't think there's an easy solution for that.

There are at least 2 or 3 other lifts inside the food court that will take you to the ground floor or the parking levels.

Don't know if mentioned but Citi Cross food hall will get a McDonald's at the Grenfell St entrance amongst other changes.

Not sure what the new owners are thinking by applying bandaid solutions to a dud of a centre... Raze the building and street again, build the retail and hospitality space that the CBD/Rundle Mall district requires.
