Saw this on Saturday. Lots of work going on. Looked as though one of the lift cores was now up as high as level 10?

The western lift core is now level with the crane cabin. I would think that the crane would be raised soon, maybe this coming weekend.
With any luck next weekend we will see the Conservatory crane raised and the installation of the Aurora crane.
Or maybe I am just waiting for a pig to fly by.

Nice pics Norman. I used to work on Grenfell street and would walk past this every day. I waited for so long for some action and of course as soon as it gets underway I quite that job! So its nice to still be able to see the progress.

They're doing around about a floor a week. I've previously been watching them fairly closely, because my desk window looked out directly onto the construction site. There's one basement floor, and it looks like the first few floors above that will be carparks. Reason being, the floor is angled/curved across the centre of the building running from north to south between the lift wells, and those floors don't look as 'high' as normal floors typically are. I've since moved so I don't have a direct view of it anymore, but I can still see it from a distance.
Work is starting on the building in the north eastern corner of Hindmarsh Sq. now too.

The first crane support collar has gone on, so pending weather next weekend, we should see a crane rise.
Could work out that this crane grows and Aurora's cane is completed on the same weekend.

Very quick pic from today thanks to the wet weather. Shows the support collar pikey is referring to.

I was unaware that levels 3-5 seem to be for car parking. When I walked past and had a look at the render on the fence, I swear it looks like car parking when I looked closely
