It is. Walk down any main street of a capital city in Australia. KW is the most run down of any.
Can you name the main streets of the capitals? How many of them have you walked down?
you sound like you need a holiday
You say KWS is dilapidated.
Google Image search results for dilapidated.

Some random street photos of KWS. The buildings might not be the best aesthetically, but KWS is not dilapidated.

Adelaide CBD/City hasn't had the development boom other capitals have had, nor does it have the money floating around like Melbourne and Sydney do.
It will take time for more developments like this one and others along KWS, to start to change the 'face' of KWS.

You're constantly negative, like him.
Big deal a bit of graffiti. There was graffiti on the concrete noise walls along the T2T stretch of the north south corridor weeks after it opened, does that mean it was dilapidated?..

We're talking about the main street in town not a suburban highway.

The City of Melbourne literally promote graffiti art as part of their aesthetic…
Once again abc, you’re an old man yelling at a cloud and not many people give a shit.

True, but this is different to the shitty graffiti tags that abc is referring to. Legal street graffiti is in places in the Adelaide CBD too, like underneath the Morphett St bridge at North Tce.

I think you all need to calm down.
Leave getting antsy about non-issues to me.

G'day everyone - first time post. I've always been interested in seeing my beloved Adelaide develop and been browsing this site for years. I thought I'd chime in this thread since I work for Services Australia and this building will be be my new office.
Most of us staff are very excited about the new building. Our current office space is quite outdated even though it does the job. We're yet to find out which floor our team will be allocated - my hope is that I'll actually have a proper view as opposed to staring at another building 10 metres away.
It's really cool to be in the novel situation of watching your home away from home taking shape before your eyes and in such a public location. I was particularly pleased to see that, for once, the cladding in the render actually looks that way in real life.
I took this shot on 17 November:

Welcome Ursus, great to see you on the forums! Hopefully we can get some photos from the inside once you've moved in to the new building!

I pass that KWS / Currie St corner most days and there has been no movement of any kind, including on the Westin website. Unless there is something going on behind the scenes, this crappy corner block will be with us for a while
