There wouldn't be any if the homes and offices of Liberal staff members had a sudden an unexplained loss of internet access.

Here is an image of the CityView Apartment Building.

It is from the Housing SA website, as the 1 bedroom apartments in the complex are part of the state government's affordable housing initiative.

A new grandstand for Richmond Oval?

From the Independent Weekly:
Fire destroys football club grandstand

A suspected arson fire has destroyed a grandstand and gym at the ground of the West Adelaide Football Club. Firefighters took about 30 minutes to control the blaze, which caused an estimated $200,000 worth of damage.

The roof of the grandstand was gutted, a gym and buildings destroyed and coaches’ boxes damaged, a Metropolitan Fire Service spokeswoman said.

The cause of the fire, reported at 11pm yesterday, has yet to be determined but is not believed to be suspicious, the spokeswoman said.

Suspected arson ... but the cause is not believed to be suspicious. Sounds just a little suspicious to me.

In Salisbury there is currently some work going on next to the Centrelink office on Gawler Street, does anyone know? And around the corner on Park Terrace opposite the Eureaka Tavern has a sign out the front, i read a year or two ago in The Messenger newspaper that it supposed to be some apartments.

Today's AFR:
The 9 level DTEI building in Walkerville has sold for $10m. The Dept will relocate into the city.
The CBA branch on Jetty Rd, Glenelg has sold for $4.5m

interesting. Anyone know where DTEI are moving too, or if they will be wanting a brand new building. The outside renovations to the former SA Water house on Grenfell St are nearly done, wonder if thats a possibility.

$10m seems peanuts for an inner suburban large building that could be fairly easily gutted and renovated into apartments. You would think there would be property developers lining up to buy this

It seems that Christies Beach is sharing some of the beachside apartment and development action.

Beachpoint Apartments is currently under construction, with completion expected later this year.

From Brock Harcourts:
Located on the Esplanade at Christies Beach and offering sensational water, reserve and clifftop views, the Beachpoint Apartments is South Australia's newest high quality, beachfront apartment development.
Choose from a range of apartment designs each with something special, large entertaining areas, high quality inclusions and room to move.
Currently under construction, Beachpoint's first residents will be moving in to their new homes in early 2010.
Inspections of Beachpoint are by appointment only and can be arranged by contacting Tracy Mason of Brock Urban Projects.

This area (street shops) needs an injection of local residents to revitalise Christies Bch linear shopping centre - almost destroyed by Colonnades expansion - now Centro Shopping centre - I think. (I saw this development on 8/1/10 and noted the condition of the linear centre and market activity).
