Nice store, great presence on that corner. Am glad they opened it up to the inside of Rundle Plaza as well.

Not sure if this already been posted, but the new cladding on the north side of the Myer Centre is a dark grey colour, completely different to the original pale yellow. It also didn’t look flat, maybe some sort of texture to it.

Here’s a pic of the Myer Centre cladding from lunchtime today. Not sure now if it is on the actual Myer Centre building, or a structure in front?

If they make the whole centre this colour it’ll look great imo.

Bad call, IMO. The cream panels were recessive enough against the similarly toned heritage façades that you could almost mistake them for functioning buildings. They are now clearly shells diminished by the size of Myer Centre. I wonder if Heritage SA was consulted.

I have to agree. Looking at the style and colours of the tower, it's clear it was intended to look like a modern (for the time) interpretation of the style of the heritage facades. It's not dated well, but this doesn't look any better.

Rundle Square recently closed the Rundle Mall entry to the arcade/Foodland where there remained to be a vacant space for lease. There is no hoarding up around this entry and plaster/frame work going on inside, blocking the access of Nike/Westpac/Foodland into this section suggesting they have a tenant who will be taking up the vacant space + the entire foyer of this section of the building.
Also, noticed Renew Adelaide were looking for expression of interest for a space in the Myer Centre 'formerly occupied by Rebel Sport'. It would seem that Uniqlo's space will run along the western boundary of the building, whilst the second of Rebel Sport that was situated directly above the laser clinic will be a separate tenancy altogether. Would explain why there isn't any hoarding up around this particular space.
