Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Some further observations of loads at the end of the first week. Rough figures, rounded to the nearest five, to give a flavour of what's happening. Basdd on a couple of trips each way at the am and pm peaks and lunch time.
Morning peak. To Adelaide Railway Station 25. From 45.
Lunch. To Adelaide Railway Station 20. From 35.
Afternoon. To Adelaide Railway station 40. From 50!
I don't claim these as typical, just some observations.

For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.

That's a net gain of 45 people in the east end per dayrubberman wrote: ↑Fri Oct 19, 2018 6:05 pmSome further observations of loads at the end of the first week. Re: News & Discussion: Trams
For those that are interested: After the Adelaide United game, Botanic Garden trams ran at their regular interval of every 20 minutes, while there were 2 additional services at 9:35 and 9:45 straight to Glenelg.
This also came up for some reason. Service to GleneNTRE?

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Why why why why are the Labor opposition trying to hold the government to account on their promise to deliver the right turn? They should be hammering home that it's been a bad idea all along, and actively pushing for him to backflip on it, not playing this silly game of election promise point scoring.

I was a bit suprised by that too.Nathan wrote:Why why why why are the Labor opposition trying to hold the government to account on their promise to deliver the right turn? Simply pointing out it was a stupid idea would suffice.
I wonder when this new infrastructure SA thing ia going to kill it properly....not that the Government apparently intends on listening to them.

Why stick to your guns when you can find a way to make the opposition look bad?Waewick wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 9:20 pmI was a bit suprised by that too.Nathan wrote:Why why why why are the Labor opposition trying to hold the government to account on their promise to deliver the right turn? I'm just not sure that particular topic has much traction.Ser Noit of Loit wrote:Why stick to your guns when you can find a way to make the opposition look bad?Waewick wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 9:20 pmI was a bit suprised by that too.Nathan wrote:Why why why why are the Labor opposition trying to hold the government to account on their promise to deliver the right turn? It also just creates even more negativity towards trams which i wish we didn't have.
Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Is the voice announcer the same guy from the planes announcements. Also I don't see why we got to be told what side of the tram to get off, we got by fine for over a century

Considering half the stops in the city you get out on the right, and the other half now on the left, it's a sensible thing to do.

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Yes, announcing which side the doors open is fine. It's the "in the direction of travel" tacked on afterwards that's redundant.Ser Noit of Loit wrote: ↑Tue Oct 23, 2018 7:41 pmConsidering half the stops in the city you get out on the right, and the other half now on the left, it's a sensible thing to do.
Re: News & Discussion: Trams
