Forget apple etc, I'm not talking about there. 142 - 160 Flinders St, where Heaven moved to for a while, years ago used to be a Rave venue called St Paul's....

Looks like they'll be up and going soon at 142-160 Flinders St

They've been granted a special circumstances licence, with conditions. Trading hours will be allowed between

Monday and Tuesday 8am to 1am the following day
Wednesday to Saturday 8am to 3am the following day
Sunday 8am to 1am the following day

Objections were made by Bethlehem Lutheran Church & Paul Pruszinkski but were resolved in conciliation hearings last week.
Wonder what Paul Pruszinkski's issue was?
Isn't Pruzinski building the folded apartment building on the opposite corner? And an office across the road, although a night club should not afect that. Anyway, St Pauls has been there forever as a nightclub venue, so it was there first. "Buyer beware" - there is a nightclub venue in the vicinity.

Sorry Brando, I knew full well that you were talking about the former St Pauls and not Synagogue. I was actually talking to Mono when I said wires have been crossed :D
Carry on.

Hi guys, Paul Pruszinkski just wants to clarify for our members what the issue was. Here's what he had to say.
I would like to set the record straight for S-A members comments under 122 Grenfell Street about my position with Jade Monkey moving to Flinders Street.
I did not place an objection and do not want anyone to think that I object to anything in the CBD, rather I made a representation as an owner of two properties opposite, and representing my client who is also opposite on Flinders Street. That representation was explicitly clear that I absolutely support Jade Monkey moving to the location, but I asked that controls be put in place to ensure that some of the bad habits of the last night club dont re-occur, specifically excessive noise, poor security, and rubbish / excrement in the streets. Jade Monkey is proposing a very interesting venture at the location and has assured us that they will be a good corporate citizen. The proposal I think will be a very positive contributor to the neighbourhood and the CBD in genera

Good to hear. I don't think there'll be any of the problems associated with the previous night club - the types of people going compared to the Jade compared to the club couldn't be much more different.

To get back on topic...

Both the pit for the core and the crane base pits have been excavated out, with the reinforcing steel really obvious. Won't be long until we see a crane base on site here.

Was just about to say the same thing. Work is well underway now which is great.

Quick update from our mate James.
Thought you might be interested in these two construction pictures of our Ibis Hotel Adelaide project on Grenfell Street.

We are pouring the crane base today and expect the crane to be installed in the next 3-4 weeks.

Lift overrun pit has also been poured.

Kind regards
James.

Hi James [or anyone else who knows] can you tell me if there will be any car parking [up via a ramp] in this building? Also is there any reason why you didn't include few floors of underground carparking or even a basement considering it is a hotel?

The last thing this city needs is more carparking! Jesus Christ, enough already!

If I travel somewhere by car and stay overnight in a city then on-site car parking will certainly be a factor when choosing which hotel to stay in. Why would I want to search for some pay parking lot and carry my baggage from there to the hotel? Don't think I would consider whether there are too many or too few parks in that city - I'd just want to have my wheels as near as possible.
