There are five distinct bays in the upper deck so maybe one name for each bay.Port Adelaide Fan wrote:Not sure how much of the eastern stand will be Jack Oatey but some of it will be was on ten.

Yes, that's the plan. Max Basheer's is the large, central one by the look of it.

for those who were wondering how the names were coming along
[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m
How did Wanganeen get a stand named after him?

Not gonna touch that one with a ten foot pole...Waewick wrote:How did Wanganeen get a stand named after him?

Shane Woewoedin's got one of themMatt wrote:Winning a Brownlow, I'd imagine.Waewick wrote:How did Wanganeen get a stand named after him?
We're getting off topic now though. Anyway, who are the other two named after? One's Mark Ricciuto I believe but who's the fifth one?

Wanganeen Oatey Basheer Ricciuto and Fos Williams.slenderman wrote:Shane Woewoedin's got one of themMatt wrote:Winning a Brownlow, I'd imagine.Waewick wrote:How did Wanganeen get a stand named after him?

So we have two Jack Oatey Stands now (the other being at Unley). I guess there's two Bradman Stands as well (Adelaide Oval and SCG).

And, I just saw on the NAB Challenge, a Bradman Stand at Manuka Oval as well (centre one with media facilities).Brucetiki wrote:So we have two Jack Oatey Stands now (the other being at Unley). I guess there's two Bradman Stands as well (Adelaide Oval and SCG).

I'm more concerned Max Basheer, The man that was responsible for moving football away from Adelaide Oval has a stand named after him.Waewick wrote:How did Wanganeen get a stand named after him?

I thought the same... I'm a Crow and not bothered about Wanganeen - Brownlow, former Power captain... can see the reasoning. Max Basheer (in the prime spot and with grander signage strikes me as slightly odd.

Looks stupid. Serves no purpose. Messes with the architecture. Take the lettering down.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.
[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m
not a fan of the lettering. its overkill. where are riccuito and william's names going?
[COM] Re: U/C: Adelaide Oval Redevelopment | 53,500 | $545m
I like it, but still don't understand why Basheer's is bigger and grander than the actual footy legends...
