Oh, shame. It was nice to have two iconic SA brands as the Mall’s face.

Speaking of the Mall, anyone heard what’s going in on the corners of James Place where Tarocash, Spendless and Typo were?

changing demographic of city of Adelaide means a lot of the resident locals now have no affinity nor interest with the products these old SA brands sell

Quite a few changes to Rundle Mall/Street of late...

As mentioned above, Charlesworth have rather quietly closed their store at No. 1 Rundle Mall, which seems strange when you consider the public outcry when Darrell Lee upped and left and the relief of Charlesworth moved in.

Priceline have moved from Gawler Place to the basement level of Adelaide Central Plaza (David Jones) formerly tenanted by Chemist Warehouse.

The former Tarocash shopfront on the corner of James Place/Rundle Mall is undergoing an extensive facelift, I don't believe there is a tenant lined up but rather another one of those Peregrine-type restoration jobs.

On the other corner of James Place/Rundle Mall (the old Sturt Theatre building - formerly tenanted by Typo and Cotton On Body), there is a fit out happening for Glassons (this will be there second Adelaide store, the other at Marion).

Decjuba has opened in the old Balfours shop, previously tenanted by Factorie.

Finally Calibre are coming back to Rundle Street, opening on the corner of Ebenezer Place (previously Felici Espresso Bar).

Apparently there’s going to be a Louis Vuitton pop up at Adelaide Central Plaza. I expect there’ll be a permanent store in the CBD and Burnside soon.

I walked past Smokoz on Friday afternoon and almost did a double-take! A genuine big city-style convenience store (with all the grab and go drinks to prove it) right there on the corner. Hope they do well, the city needs some vibrancy at times.

All of the retail units in Parc Arcade have received a quick lick of paint and have For Lease signs up. A couple have already been tenanted.

It doesn't look like any effort has been made around the mall itself, it's still just as shabby as it ever was.

Jesus that is awful. I'd rather go back to the cream and green.

Calibre opened on Rundle Street today moving from Adelaide Central Plaza. Strange timing coming into Christmas and the massive traffic next door Louis Vuitton is getting. The decision to move back to Rundle Street must be getting questioned you'd think, unless they were kicked out as part of the potential redevelopment. You'd think they'd want to stay until after Christmas though. I imagine Body Shop must be next to move.
