Work has started on forming up the lift core in the northwest (rear) corner of the site but there is no sign of a crane base yet.

The crane will be located within the core itself, so if they are building the corm work and core base, i'd say a crane base won't be too far off!

Once this gets going it should rise quickly due to the small footprint. Be great to see 87 metres by this time next year.

Does anyone know the construction type? I wonder if it will be slab/beam and concrete or steel frame/precast panels.

Based on what I'm seeing, it looks like the main core is reinforced concrete. The frame supporting the floor slabs could be either reinforced concrete or steel, and given the slender dimensions of the building it will need a fair bit of bracing to comply with wind code requirements!
