I think you meant either engendered or generated. :D

The project certainly has proven the early naysayers wrong. My only concern is the chaos of the first few big matches when people attempt to use the PT. It will take a few events for people to stop being clueless about the process. Queue the Advertiser letters to the editor complaining.
And while we're doing some housekeeping of the written word... I suppose 'queue' makes sense, but I think you meant 'cue'...

Absolutely right!

I've bought my supplies. Nails and plywood panels to board up the ground floor windows, large cauldrons of boiling oil to place in the upper floor windows...

Bring 'em on.

SA Footy legend, Barrie Robran at the unveiling of the bronze sculpture honouring his football achievements.
The unveiling took place on the plaza at Adelaide Oval.

The day we all thought would never happen has arrived - a completely redeveloped Adelaide Oval open for business and ready to deal with it's new capacity.

A Great day for South Australia, the city and North Adelaide should be busy tonight.

The weather is good, I am genuinely excited.

So you don't like Rundle Mall and you have a weak payout of the new oval (could say any stadium with a white roof looks like a toilet bowl ) great contribution with your first 2 posts. :applause:

So what's the best whinge heard?? Any bitching about the PT or line ups yet? I've only heard one whinge over the price of beer. No sympathy. bring a water bottle if you must drink something.

Fabulous atmosphere at the Adelaide Oval yesterday.
Spotted: Port and Crows fans mingling in the queues outside the Oval and chatting.
Huge numbers of 'special guests' and legends, local and interstate, arriving before the game.
Massive numbers of fans using the Footbridge before and after the match.
Buzz in the city.
Lots of people making use of the free public transport (not just Footy Express).

Only negative for me was the huge bottleneck at the scanning turnstiles for people moving from the southern/riverbank stand to the western stand. The system could not cope and extra manual scanners (did not work or intermittent) added to the bottleneck.

Overall, great excitement and praise for our redeveloped Adelaide Oval and footy in the city. And lots of love from the interstate media.

Check out this short video overview of the day by @MattThompson.
