The hour glass is due to open on Monday and will stock Bvlgari for the first time in Adelaide amongst other brands.
Solid Gold Diamonds are moving to a new store in Gawler Place soon freeing up more space in ACP.
Minoso is returning to Adelaide opening in the basement of the MYER Centre where Gloria jeans, a barber and a few other smaller shops were in the food court.
The Hour Glass:

Will the hour glass be a permanent addition?
seems to occupy the same spot as the temporary Louis Vuitton store pop-up
It’s definitely permanent.

Interesting, Louis Vuitton occupied that same store front last year, and now clearly having a permanent store somewhere else.
Remarkable how they can change a store so quickly
I wonder if Louis Vuitton will move next door to the vacant store front next to The Hour Glass, or have a store inside instead?

Just on changing the store over so quickly from the Louis Vuitton pop-up, these hoardings for The Hour Glass were in place 6 months ago.
Agree it’ll be interesting to see where Louis Vuitton end up though. Feels quite unusual to have a luxury precinct situated right in the middle of a city’s main mall.

Yep definitely wasn’t a quick fit out. The pop up closed on December 28.

This Shaun Bonett guy is investing millions in making the central plaza area a luxury precinct by the sounds of it, specifically outside where that Rolex store is now. Read below.
“Along with our luxury group of retailers, we are investing $125 million dollars over the next three years to create the first dedicated luxury shopping precinct in Adelaide’s CBD,” Bonett said.
“A dedicated luxury precinct in Rundle Mall will enhance Adelaide’s reputation nationally and internationally, attract major investment, and continue the significant commercial development in the Adelaide CBD that has been going on in the last several years, which has included the recent completion of new luxury hotels, major office towers and a major casino redevelopment and expansion on the city’s riverbank, all within a short walking distance from Rundle Mall."
Also, there could be a Gucci, Armani, and Chanel stores along with the new Louis Vuitton.
“We’ve also had significant amounts of other luxury brand interest, a number of which emanate from brands that already operate concessions within David Jones,” he added.
Mr Bonett told The Australian Financial Review he would like to secure Louis Vuitton as a permanent tenant in the future (sounds like this has come true), whilst also talking to its parent company, global luxury retail giant LVMH, about opportunities to bring many other of its famous brands to Adelaide.

Seems like a temporary 12 month stint to see if Adelaide is worth while. "12 month contract role"
Lets hope the Adelaide public show them its worth staying in our city

It might be more about the individuals performance as to whether they keep them on or not. After 12 months by law they need to make an offer of permanency if keeping them.

The Body Shop is relocating
New signage is saying The Body Shop will move next door to Pandora on the other side of the plaza entrance.

Milligram opened on Friday past.
It is a stationery and gift store, with some gift items. Some is more bespoke and unique. Nice store and stock. A deep tenancy.
In the morning, there was a lineup waiting for the opening. Some/all who lined up were rewarded with a $500 gift voucher.
Our state, our city, our future.

I *think that Adelaide LV store is actually at Burnside and Adelaide Central Plaza are trying to secure a second store.

I hope Burnside doesn't become our Pac Fair. That place when it opened had VISION and so many incredible brands. Based on the promises of APT Capital, it got may brands that otherwise wouldn't have looked at the GC because it promised them the world. In a matter of months many of the brands sued them. Now the store assortment at Pac Fair is just a mish-mash. It's slowly becoming it's former self, with a nicer facade.
I hope if we do get some great brands in Burnside, that they aren't out within months. That the brands build a loyal ADL base. This will then attract others to open up second stores in the CBD. Fingers crossed.

Yeah it will become a Pacific Fair unless there is more foot traffic, for sure
Hence why luxury brands by-pass burnside and choose rundle mall with 42 million visitors compared to Burnside's 4 million. Massive difference in opportunity and makes sense.
Also rundle mall architecture is beautiful tbh, gives some vibes of Bond street, London. It's an appealing and prominent location

I noticed today that Adelaide Central Plaza have removed the window signage for the smaller vacant tenancy where Body Shop are meant to be moving and replaced it with ‘Priceline now open downstairs’ signage? Has there been a change of plan, are Body Shop now staying on that corner?
