Yep, that's correct, I went to use the toilets today at work and noticed we have been shifter around. The blokes toilets have been shifted off the 3rd floor to the 1st floor (which is funny when the women still think that toilet is still the one they should be using and have the crap scared out of them when guys walk into the room ) and there are big signs everywhere indicating the closure of levels 2 and 3 (4 was never open to the public as far as I'm aware). From what I've heard, our dealer may leave the building as early as May, so add a couple of months onto that for the removal of HS and EzyDVD and we may see some quick progress in the middle of the year

Yeh, and will be 2 metres short of the Telstra building. Will make it the third tallest in the city. Shame we're still so low though..

Wow really? I used to work in the Layby Department there years ago on the second floor. That big roof space on Grenfell Street you see is the layby storage area. I used to be the boss of that. I'm gettin all sentimental about it...

It's a fair distance from Rundle Mall through to Grenfell Street.

At the least. Considering the span, I'd say 1 or two for the Rundle mall component and another 2 for the tower.

Yeah. I doubt the council will allow them to park a temporary crane on Grenfell St or Rundle Mall for any great length of time.

Are Harris Scarfe going to open a temporary store? Is the former Radio Rentals tenancy above JB Hi Fi still empty?

Adelaide hasn't grown much higher, but over the past twenty years the density is right up.

We have a big CBD, even without the height restrictions there isn't much economic sense in building high rather than wide right now. Give it time and as more space gets filled in there is only one way to go.

Exciting news guys. 3rd highest! Will make some impression on the skyline. Start mid year as well. Will be interesting if this gets into the AFR property reports.

Sorry, my edit didn't work. It was meant to say. "If I was on the top of my house in Pooraka looking down to the city. Will I still see the black stump or will it be blocked from Rundle place?" but I looked at google maps and saw where both were located, they will appear side by side, which will make the city keep that "dense" feeling that we all like

(I don't live in Pooraka by the way, it was just a way to get a picture of where it'd be located)

Fantastic news! Glad to see the ball rolling on this and relatively quick when compared to other large proposals (spire etc.)

So assuming this starts up within the next 6 months we will have three quite significant office developments in the CBD:

Central Tower 8
Rundle Place
Light Square

Do the revised renders retaining the rundle mall facade a few pages back include the extra two levels of office space or are we due to see a new render?

If someone has the time/skills, I would love to see an impression of the skyline impact on this one.
