Yeh they do have solar panels all over the metal roof.abc wrote:this design whilst popular in Europe for practical reasons, doesn't seem so practical in a place like Adelaide... all that direct sunlight coming through the glass roof will require a huge offset in energy requirements to cool that levelluffingjib wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 12:14 pmNothing of note happening in pop upVinyTapestry849 wrote: Can you, or anyone send pictures of the new Louis Vuitton store under construction. At this stage, from the outside, this would have to be one of the ugliest shopping centre builds I've seen. Not sure how they managed to get planning approval considering the exponential wealth in the surrounding areas, you would think local residents would have a lot to say about this. Hopefully what's still to come will improve the concrete wall facing onto the corner of Portrush Road.

There's still a bit of facade to be applied which will definitely soften the appearance it currently has.Patrick_27 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 2:18 pmAt this stage, from the outside, this would have to be one of the ugliest shopping centre builds I've seen. Yes that would be applied by the shops that lease those spaces
[U/C] Re: Burnside Village (Extension)

They're screens. They larger one is already up, though not operational.

The Louis Vuitton temporary/pop-up store is scheduled to open on Wednesday December 4th, located near Bluprint Cafe / Tommy Hilfiger. As mentioned on here earlier, when the Burnside Village expansion is complete they will move into a larger space in the new part of the mall.

Thanks for the update this is exciting.
Luxury fashion has taken a hit globally but Adelaide has a lot of room for expansion so I hope we see more brands continue to open. Big student population will help fuel sales. This has been the case in other aus cities where I’ve worked for these brands.
Can’t wait to see it when it’s done.

Overall I think this is looking nice from the inside.
Going by how full the carparks are in the centre there is no doubt there is foot traffic for all these brands coming in.
I hope that blank wall on the cnr Portrush and Greenhill gets the attention it needs.

Has been unveiled, now open.
CLEARLY what Louis Vuitton are doing here, is probing whether rundle mall or Burnside performs better. The best performing store will probably be made permanent.

They already announced this is a temporary store with a permanent one to open in March in the new development.VinyTapestry849 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 1:55 pmHas been unveiled, now open.

I wonder if they'll do a store in the Adelaide Central Plaza aswell. They performed very well in that pop-up in rundle mall.
I certainly hope so.
