This whole area feels vibrant and alive. Attention is needed on the streetscape on Grote St and past the Morphett St area. It would be nice to have some transit from Vic Square onwards to the Airport via this Chinatown Central Market area. A late night "Georgetown" style Hawker space could be a good opportunity to replace the foodcourts.
Unfortunately the Chinatown Food Court is already being renovated to be more upmarket and less foodcourty.

In my time in Adelaide, Hawkers Corner on West Terrace was always popular, cheap and cheerful. Its a shame it closed. Perhaps a similar concept could be reimagined for this precinct and facing Grote Street.

big shame

I don't like the new foodcourt on the other side of the street either... no appealing options

the plaza foodcourt had a lot more atmosphere and variety
tired of low IQ hacks

Ironically, one of the new tenants in the upgrade Plaza Foodcourt will be Cheeky Greek? Not even of Asian influence.

How is that even allowed? Just like when Nordburger was in Chinatown for a bit.
