Looks like most of level 5 of the eastern stand is empty today. Assuming that where all the after 5 tickets were sold.
Also for some reason CA have brought their own digital signage to put in front of the existing digital signage on level 1

44,000, really? Look at the empty seats in the eastern stands. Granted the other stands are fairly full.

Fantastic turnout yesterday and Adelaide Oval looked amazing under lights. Adelaide Oval redevelopment and huge crowd support once again makes Adelaide stand proud in front of a national and international audience.
Our 1st day attendance was the same as the first 3 days in Brisbane, and higher than the entire 5 days of the Perth test!
I also read this morning that Queensland Cricket want a day/night test for the Gabba starting next summer. I think that Perth would want one too.

We're already in discussions with Pakistan for an AO day/night game in the 2016/17 test series.
Day 2 today. Will be interesting to see if we can top the day 1 attendance numbers...

Can't see Perth getting one to be honest - it would finish too late in the eastern states, and as it is, the time difference effectively makes it a day/night test in terms of eastern states time slots.
If they got 47k yesterday on a working day, could get up to around 55k today with more people able to go for the entire day.

Is there any particular reason why there is hardly anyone in the Eastern Stand?
Today there is literally no one :/

Side question lads. Who owns Adelaide Oval? And who manages the oval?

Pretty sure it's the SMA (Stadium Management Authority), which is a joint venture of the SANFL and SACA.

I'd say the glare from the afternoon sun would have deterred people from sitting there. Was an awesome spectacle and atmosphere, great for our city. Even the players, much like the AFL's have said how this is now their favourite ground to play at. Although I think even before the redevelopment many cricketers rated AO. Just now they get to play in front of a decent crowd

Looks like level 5 of the eastern stands is closed today. Considering CA were claiming today is a near sellout, looks like it's one of those inflated sellouts where they cry sell out but haven't sold every seat (like the World Cup warm up match where the ICC claimed sell out and 13k turned up).
