The map suggests the O-Bahn is part of Outer North East, so will continue with Torrens Transit.

One of the joint venture partners for the north-south package that includes the trams is currently also the operator of Canberra Metro Light Rail which seems to get good reviews here.

Maybe they can speed up tram operations then.

And grind out those noisy track corrugations. Especially at Rundle Mall, Pirie St and the Railway Station.

They should make the Glenelg tram travel to the Entertainment Centre at all times and increase daytime frequency to every 8 minutes.
The Botanic gardens service should just run to the RAH but every 15 minutes during the day.

I'd like to keep the Botanic-Ent Centre line to a maximum of every 10mins, thanks.

Both tram lines are operating at a good frequency as is, which is very similar to other light rail services around the world.

Curious as to your reasoning, do you have information on passenger loads?

Exactly. I'd love to know how the new private operator will increase frequency, iron out all the bumpy sections of track mentioned above and 'optimise customer services' since all of those are the responsibility already of DPTI and Adelaide Metro - and as the government says, they're retaining ownership of the tracks and trams, the fares and the frequency.

Maybe they can shorten the turnaround time at the terminii and change the frequency gaps between the Botanic and Glenelg lines between the hospital and the railway station. Apart from that the words are simply buzz/throwaway words to convince people that it's a good idea.

I have seen this suggestion for other cities and I am going to repeat it for Adelaide.

During the coronavirus lockdown the state government should change the traffic light sequence in the CBD to speed up the tram services.

Do it now whilst traffic is light and any issues can be ironed out.

Perfect opportunity to fix the slow running trams in the city centre.

Possibly although I think the lights are already sequenced now but for cars/vehicles. Say all the lights along West Tce are sequenced for cars, so then the tram coming to/from North Tce should override this?

They should actually implement tram priority like what they are doing in the Gold Coast. This is a no-brainer.

Yep, agreed. Should have been done years ago.

I don't understand why trams don't have priority. Then when there's no trams its an unending wait.

Good one is in front of the Convention Centre carpark entry and north side of Vic Square.
