If it is BHP they've done an extraordinarily good job of keeping it under wraps. Imagine the BHP sign lighting up the Adelaide sky 20 metres above the big W for Westpace - well we can only dreamomada wrote:I reckon it'd be BHP, to be honest, it's not really a "huge" announcement having Hills move into the city, I mean how many staff could they move into a building anyway, like 10 people?? its not like they can do they manufacturing operations on floors 10-15 or something
This announcement says an iconic Autralian company will be moving to Adelaide. To me it infers not ipresent in Adelaide CBD at present. I thus do not believe it is either the Hills bldg or anytjhing to do with BHP - if my underxtanding of inferences and nuances etc of the english language are correct. Interesting that no announcement by 10.26 eastern standard time.MaximumForce wrote:Lord Mayor Michael Harbison was on 5AA this morning and revealed that an iconic Australian company will be moving to Adelaide. He said that there will be a "significant building" constructed on King William Street. A caller rang in to say the company was BHP, but this is not confirmed. A few other callers are saying that the company is Hills (however, they already have an office in Adelaide).
This announcement was from Michael Harbison and absolutely not a hoax.

Not a really huge announcement afterallozisnowman wrote:Would be totally out of the blue if it was anyone but HILLS...
For starters BHP has offices in Grenfell St so they would not be moving
into Adelaide... I reckon it is HILLS and we already know they plan
on moving into a new office building to be built next to the Optus Building
on KWS.
