Where was the Glengowrie & Parkside Sizzler?
Glengowrie Sizzler was on Morphett Road, between the tramline and Anzac Highway.
Parkside Sizzler was on Greenhill Road, but I can't remember its exact location.

Every time I see this thread I read the title in an Irish accent.

If I'm to take a guess where the Parkside Sizzler was, it's where KFC now stands... That store's about 12-15 years old now, which syncs in time with when Sizzler would have been demolished to make way for it. The location sounds right?

Yep, that was a Sizzler. Then it was a Bells or something. Then they knocked it down and built a Lone Star. After that they knocked it down and put KFC there. Not sure if KFC has been there ten years yet though.

Sizzler at Sefton Park became ANZ and now it's Fasta Pasta!
For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.

Part of the not-quite-Glengowrie-but-actually-Camden-Park Sizzler building still exists, if I recall construction work correctly - if you head around the back of the Scott Salisbury headquarters on Anzac Highway, you'll notice that the rear half of the building is still the original single-storey gabled-roof Sizzler building, with a new double-storey addition built where much of the eating area used to be.

That would be correct. Around 9 years ago now I worked at that restaurant when it was called "Arkies Family Resturant" (an all you can eat place). The restuarant had a little of a face lift from its Sizzler days if I remember right but suddenly about a year into working there, it closed its door without any of the workers getting told and we were out of a job. It became La Porcetta (or something similar) for a few years and then the display homes office was built. I think the little stand alone Pizza Hut that was next door too was knocked down. And yes, the back section facing onto the tram line is the only part of the original building left. God knows why they left it there though... it was always covered in the local "artwork".
