The overpass is open now! Went over it not before. Left turn into mclaren vale is now closed for earth works, and southbound access is via Martins road and onto the overpass. Northbound is similar, using Martins then the overpasses. Both ways out of Mclaren Vale are to final design plan.

It was good to see the traffic crossing via the overpass when I went through about 0730 this morning :) Decent length merging lanes help.

I see from that video they said the overpass was built in mind with future duplication of the road to take place. Anyone got pics of the whole span over the road?

I see the 80km/h speed limit has been reinstated, bollards gone, painted median strips added and signage updated. The left turn into McLaren Vale has been upgraded. I guess roadworks essentially complete apart from some landscaping...

Yes, it does look almost complete, but I would assume that from the bottom of the hill to Martins Road, they will be installing a wire barrier down the center of the road. It's wide enough to fit it in. I would say they've just made it 80km/h again for the Xmas break while workers are off, to provide less inconvenience to the many tourists heading to the Victor Harbor Region.

Another project finished ahead of time and within budget - that's 2 in 2 weeks - well done to all involved! :applause:
