Any idea on how they may do up the lower part of the building [the original]?Colour/material?

There was a billboard on site for a couple of years. It was taken down only a month or three ago.

From today, just quickly. The last of the green mesh is gone. It makes a real impact on that end of North Tce.

The cladding is whiter than I expected. If you compare it to the above render, the cladding was a yellowish colour to match the car park building, but then again it was a scan from a newspaper.

The photos in the first page of this thread look really weird now.

Watch as I overreact to simple design elements.

Hmm I quite like the look of the carpark along with the apartments I don't mind if they chnage the look of the facade but I like it the way it is. The apartments look very Air Apartment-like now that they are visible without the green meshing on them.

There was a crane on North Terrace Sunday morning taking down some of the Crown Hire drop barriers on the NW side. Looks good but that concrete slab they have put on the top of the carpark to sit the apartments on stands out like dogs balls. Hope they are going to put some cladding over that. So this should be finished by July 07 then

Walked past tonight and saw a mobile crane there taking down more of the Crown Hire drop barriers. Most have been removed now showing the lines that will run down the carpark. Will look quite striking when finished

Just walked passed and the drop barriers have all been taken down now. Its about bloody time. They would have to have been up there for close to 2 years I reckon. Now we just need to get rid of that temporary roof that has been on North Tce for about the same time. I do like those architectural lines that they are going to extend down the carpark. Will update the look of that tired facade a lot.

I have to admit it - I really wondered at how they were going to 'marry' the style of the carpark facade to the development above - seemed like there could be too much bulk at the lower level - turned out rather pleasing - befits such a great city guys!!!

I snapped a pic yesterday too, but I don't think it's worth posting now! It looks like this building is occupied now.
