Definitely hasn't gone to Hansen Yuncken. Haven't heard who has actually got it but mgb is probably correct.

Work to start on $300 million new Calvary city hospital to replace Wakefield
WORK will start soon on the state’s largest private hospital, the $300 million Calvary Adelaide, after the signing of a development contract.
More than 500 jobs are expected to be created during the two-year construction of the 12-storey, 350-bed hospital in Angas St, next to SA Police headquarters.
Calvary’s North Adelaide and Central Districts hospitals will not be affected by the new facility.
Calvary signed the contract with Adelaide developer Commercial & General and construction company John Holland.
The new hospital will replace Calvary Wakefield Hospital, including its privately operated 24-hour emergency department.
Calvary chairman John Watkins said it was the group’s biggest hospital investment anywhere in Australia.
Due to open in December 2018, the hospital will increase inpatient beds to 257, compared with Wakefield’s 172, and have a 220-space carpark. Commercial & General is planning a 350-space carpark opposite.

Yep. Big site too. Basically a demolish and build anew site. Can't imagine the existing building being re-tasked.phenom wrote:Even better this frees up the Wakefield/Hutt St corner site for future development...
They might clear the existing building at that point, but won't progress much further for a little while yet.Ben wrote:Work starts June 7th.

I reckon it will end up being mid level apartment/ townhouses.Wayno wrote:Yep. Big site too. Basically a demolish and build anew site. Can't imagine the existing building being re-tasked.phenom wrote:Even better this frees up the Wakefield/Hutt St corner site for future development...
It's an excellent location. There's already a new 6 level apartment building proposed on the other site of Hutt next to the Ten building. It'd be a shame if this site isn't utilised for mid-to-high density, at least on the scale of the nearby Flinders Street precinct. Development done right here could help provide a stronger link between the East End and Hutt Street.Waewick wrote:I reckon it will end up being mid level apartment/ townhouses.Wayno wrote:Yep. Can't see what else it will be.
