I stayed in a high rise hotel in Brisbane back in 2009 and I had a balcony. I took some great pics over the edge. I forgot what floor it was on but I think it was 40-something.

Just some that have balconies- the near new Crowne Plaza, The Sebel Playford. The Pier, Liberty & The Grand at Glenelg. Many have at least some rooms with balconies ie Mantra Hindmarsh Square, Rendezvous Hotel etc

Hi All,

My name is Nathan Frost and I am the General Manager of the ibis Adelaide. I am happy to answer any of your inquiries regarding the hotel. Just to give you a quick update, we are nearing completion and will be open for business on the 14th July. We are looking forward to officially opening the doors and you coming and for a sneaky peak.

Cheers.

Nathan

There is no swimming pool at the hotel however you can dream of swimming in Hawaii whilst sipping on a Pina Colada on the balcony of the 1st floor restaurant and bar on a balmy 45 degree February day. Sneaky peaks will hopefully take place the week before the official opening. It will depend on how quickly the internal fit out takes and I will keep you all up to date on if we are ahead of schedule.

I hope those piƱa coladas will be made properly with freshly crushed pineapple and coconut water. If so count me in. ;)

Any doubts as to how well this building will look when completed should now no longer exist.

It's great.

Pruzinski's best work by miles! I think it looks great in the end, a nice addition to the city!

It's great.
Agree, the white panels were looking dodgy when they were first applied, but now looking good.

It will be nice to have a modern international reasonably priced hotel chain in Adelaide, but personally I'm not sure about those panels they've used in the cladding. Maybe it looks better if you're in front of it than it does in the photo.

I reckon it is a great addition to the sky line.

photos don't do it justice (don't get me wrong it isn't an architectural masterpiece - but nice all the same.)

This copped plenty of flack over the renders. Just goes to show that the much talked about and disliked glass and concrete box building, can be a mighty fine looking structure.. :applause:
