I feel like this is an older style construction method and therefore slower than most builds...
I guess these guys want to make sure it doesn't end up like Opal Tower in Sydney.
Cheers

Yes. This project has been delayed numerous times already. I'd expect a more informative comment then that from you Allkai.
I don't know as i'm not involved in this building in any way shape or form but i was looking at purchasing when it was first announced in 2015 and glad i didn't from a timing perspective. Having completed just 6 levels in 12 months, compared to competitive builds going on seems pretty behind where they should be. However for all i know they could be ahead of where they intend to be.

It's about a year behind initial schedule. When they went on the market, they sold it with a early 2020 completion date (and late 2019 if everything goes better than plan). Since last year they project completion late 2020 with settlement either in 2020 or start of 2021.
Delay was mostly start of the project, including a couple of weeks/months due to Power SA not getting their act together.

Quite a large crane rise took place over the weekend. The crane is a lot more visible in the west end of the city now.

Apparently this has gone through a couple of investigations by SafeWork.
Might explain why it's going slower then the other developments.

This would be the Wingfold Tower. Sofitel isn't as big just yet.

Currie Street looks like a disgrace. The council and state government need to do something about it, it must be the worst street in central Adelaide at this point in time, along with Flinders and Franklin Streets.
Fix the footpaths, plant some more trees at the sides and in the middle of the road and change the road to concrete. Or better yet, reduce it to two lanes and put the buses in a tunnel.

I'd be in favour of removing all private vehicle access on top of this. Bus tunnel would be great. Express to the airport.

Yep. They don't even need to spend that much money on it. It baffles me that they have spent 8 million dollars or so on Gawler Place (note: not opposed to the upgrade but reckon they could have economised a bit) when Currie and Grenfell Streets could be brought up to standard with 3 or 4 million dollars - it doesn't have to be anything amazing; just some decent new flagstone paving, new lighting, plenty of trees. Is anyone from the City Council listening on here?! lol.
