From my experience money through the doors doesn't necessarily go through the books

I hope it does well, looks good and features a food and drinks menu that’s almost completely south Australian. Fantastic stuff.

The meals are reasonably priced, this will be a good place to go before heading home on the train.

I'm not a fan of the exposed pipework in the ceiling, feels a little too industrial for the rest of the decor

I guess that is a compromise for wanting airconditioning in a pre-airconditioned space. You either get painted exposed ductwork or a lower ceiling to conceal it. Neither is ideal.

Or when you get off the train to have lunch or dinner.

Rundle Street movement:
What was originally being fit out as the sales/showrroom for Monument, has now become another Sicily restaurant — next door to the still operating existing restaurant (separated only by an ATM and stairs to upstairs).
Gunbae has opened on Union St, replacing Jekyll & Hyde.
Bellezza e Cibo closed, with the building getting a facelift (new paint and the verandah currently removed), and yet another Italian cafe/bistro is going to give it a shot, with the woefully unimaginative name of 'Italy'.
The retail space between Paddy Pallin and Aesop has a leased sticker across it, no sign of what it might be.
District 4 has closed, with notice to distrain in the window, owing $54k in unpaid rent.
Taste Baguette was also closed up today, which was unusual. Can't tell if it's a one-off or permanent.

Photo of the same room in 1928 when it was the SAR Dining Room.

The former Propaganda Bar is reopening as the (unimaginatively named) Gatsby Lounge, or so says their aggressive social media marketing.

By the way, the space next door (where Cotton On was) is still disused for the foreseeable future.
