Doesn't make much sense that they'd introduce another noise wall design; R2P is only 1km and connects the Superway with the T2T. Since the Superway doesn't have noise walls, using the T2T design helps keep an element of flow. I agree with differentiating the larger sections but not for a short connecting section.

Some pictures of the now closed off centre section of the original South Rd. This will be slightly realigned and resurfaced to become the new expressway section.
Picture 1 looking south to Torrens Rd, pic 2 looking north to Regency Road ( where the crane is in the back.
The temporary steel supports for the Regency overpass bridge are stored on the east side in picture 2 where the large trees are,

I don't think noise wall design is a big deal, anyway - once vegetation grows, it won't be noticed.

Large scale moulds are likely not cheap.

I think some of the worst coloured noise barriers are some on the Tullamarine Freeway - the ones that are chucky faded yellow - Even in cold weather they look so cheap & nasty.

The Harrison Road reserve is really noticeable in the first picture (row of trees on the left side opposite Coopers Brewery), does anybody know the history of why Harrison Road wasn't built (or was it unbuilt) it would have been very useful with the drama that is the closing of Pym Street and bus routes.
