Yep. I thought it looked great.how good is he wrote:It’s actually heritage listed and the place of the first minted dollar in SA. It actually looks quite classy in the renders..if anyone wants to re-post render showing this part?
Each to their own as usual. I understand the significance and that's why it seems so tacky to me. There's integrating a building from an aesthetic sense, but there's also integrating its feel and history. It legit just looks like an old wall stuck on a new building. The people sipping wines in a lobby bar aren't minting pounds.how good is he wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 10:48 pmIt’s heritage listed (so no choice) and the place of the first minted Adelaide pound in SA. If you look to the right of where the wall is shown in the below render, I believe that a stone wall will be recreated as a feature to run back into the development. I think that would go a way to tying the heritage facade and development together.Algernon wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 3:04 amEach to their own as usual. From an aesthetic point I wish they kept more of the wall to lend some depth to it, rather than just... sticking it on.
Respectfully disagree with you cats, just not for me.
If you look carefully you'll see there is a balcony on top and the façade protrudes out onto the pavement. I think it will look fine.Algernon wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 3:04 amEach to their own as usual. I understand the significance and that's why it seems so tacky to me.
