I just love it that in almost every render there is always people walking around, then once the building is complete its DEAD! No one to be seen.

Either you guys are on weed or maybe I'm on weed but considering it's still just a shell......through my eyes it currently looks like it'll turn out exactly the same as the renders. Identical even....

The render appears to be from the west (the 'noodle' side of the render), the photo from the south, hence the difference - and the reactions by many of us. Would be good to actually see what the rest is actually like in original renders. Can't see the south side be much to write home about though.

I'm thinking the render is of the south elevation (noodle side), the photo of the site taken from the east. :?:

Yeah, the photo's definitely taken from the East. You can see the Airport in the background.

My only concern with this at the moment is that the yellow of the noodles is literally exactly the same as the render, BRIGHT yellow. When the feature wall above the noodles is completed I'm guessing it'll match the noodles exactly. That's ok, a bit of colour is good in Adelaide for a change but from the render I thought the feature colour on the other walls was either going to be a light sky blue or maybe even a polished/brushed steel effect.

Now I'm getting a bad vibe those other feature walls won't be blue or brushed steel but will be finished in the same wishy washy blue/green/grey used on the Gallery balconies which reminds me of old industrial machinery paint from a factory. Bright yellow and Factory Grey? Nasty. :?

Wow, it's going to have a bigger impact then I thought, especially if all five go up.
Can anyone use a skyline view of that area, and add in the shaded boxes to represent the other four towers?

Excellent shot jk! Much appreciated. It is very difficult to get such a clear shot like this of Adelaide.

The problem is that our hills are just that bit far from the city unlike Brisbane, Sydney etc where they can get these types of shots easily because these cities are located over undulating terrain.

I'm guessing you have a very decent camera to get a shot like that. Thanks again.

My thoughts exactly. They will look a bit lonely out there though. Will be good to see the finished products

I can't emphasise enough the impact this single tower is having on that part of the city. Everytime I drive up Franklin St or Morphett St towards it, it looms up out of the relatively flat area and actually helps remind you that you are in a capital city and gives you more of that 'closed in' feel you would expect from an inner city area.
