It's already making a MAJOR impact to the views from Victoria Square as you look south down King William Street.

Surely a crane rise will be due on this one soon!

No Brando.

As Shuz pointed out recently the recent round of pics show that the latest steel beams installed have reached full height. No need for a crane rise as it is already above the total height of the building. There was never going to be a crane rise on this project.

This one is having a big impact from all directions now.

Been away from all accessable computers for 18 days - good to come back to this - plenty of bulk and presence! Helps make up for the Hill's scenario. Really looking forward to the completion of it.

From this morning. Final beams are up on the outside now, giving a good indictation of how big this building will be.

To get a better picture of proportions, can anyone give an idea of the length of the bldg as against the block length?

The block is 130m, and the building is 87.5m, taking up 67% of the block or 2/3rds.

Thanks Shuz - I had a suspicion of this - but I took an estimate of about 75% from the photos. 2/3rds of the block at 11 floors -great!!

"Bulk", "presence", "impact" are more interesting for photographs than for the life of a city. Longer rant on the subject here.

Sadly, I believe I could almost guarantee that this building will look as cheap and nasty as its sister Lot 8. Looks massive though from that last pic and I can only keep my fingers crossed that the glass on this will actually be decent.
