I'm assuming now the bridge is (partially) opened they'll reinstate right hand turns at the South Rd/Regency Rd intersection shortly.
They probably won’t reinstate it until the surface roads have had their final surfacing done, finishing the surface roads.

According to a works notice
https://r2palliance.com.au/assets/volum ... PROVED.pdf, right turns will be reinstated in early April.

A render on the DIT website. The intersection is that of South Road/Henley Beach Road.
Does anyone know any more details on the tunnel, depth of it, width, entry angles etc... How they going to do it, a open top excavation like the city bus tunnel or going deep with one of those huge mobile mountain tunnel drills ?
I heard that it might be deep drill and that they will not disturb much on top. If that's the case, it would have to be very deep.

Oh my god, for the umpteenth time, when they release the final detailed report you will know. It hasn't been released yet, nobody knows, it's still only in the later consultation / preliminary planning stages... Have some patience. People need to stop bumping threads like this.

Yeah we know very few details yet, but one thing we know for certain is that it will be dug out using tunneling machines. To dig out and cover again would shut down South Road for years (since the whole point of tunneling is to preserve surface structures that would need to be demolished for access if they were digging out and covering).

The current focus is on the reference design, with the intention to publish by the end of the year for public review and a feedback window. Page seven of this doc which was published following the March community reference groups:

And the minutes from the March community reference group, with a bit more explanation of the current works and how all the pieces will fit together:

Lower deck at Darlington, heading towards town is back to 60. Looks like they are looking at Sturt Road Bridge again.

I think they have been working on that small section of the concrete wall edge that broke away a few weeks ago. they've been on and off with the lane reduction and speed reduction for a while now.

Presumably, at least until it eventually gets increased to 80km/h to match T2T.

Both are open although there is still work being done on the local access roads.
